Display & hanging
It is best displayed in an area protected from direct weather exposure with minimal contact with other objects. Rubbing & vibration can damage the piece structurally and cause the glass to crack.

For hanging, use a screw hook, screw or nail with hooks to hang.
*DO NOT* use suction cups. They will fail one day and you will be holding your damaged pieces along with a broken heart.

General care
All my creations are cleaned, waxed and polished prior to sale. Please use a microfiber or soft cloth to wipe off and clean up lightly if required. It is best not to use any cleaning chemicals (Window cleaning spray or any acid based cleaner) as it can cause chemical reactions on the solder line.
For a deeper clean, use warm water and a mild dishwashing liquid on a soft toothbrush to clean your piece, and dry on kitchen paper or a soft cloth. I use pure Carnauba wax (Available from any automobile store) on all my work, use a tiny amount and spread it over, let it dry for a few minutes and polish it with a microfiber cloth. This will bring the shine back and protect from oxidisation.

Oxidisation on lead & patina (solder line colour) or tarnishing on solder lines can occur over time naturally due to weather, a chemical reaction in the air or many other factors. Some “whitish” substance on the surface. Use a brush to wipe off if necessary but do not try to clean with anything abrasive or chemical as it can damage the surface of the glass and solder line. It is best to leave it as is, enjoy the authentic aged look or contact me for restoration if required.

FOR PIECES WITH PRESSED FLOWERS & LEAVES

These are real flowers & leaves collected from my garden in Adelaide Hills. I like using natural flowers that are not painted or dyed, unfortunately, there is no way to protect these natural colours from fading over time. While this process happens slowly exposure to direct sunlight UV will make them fade faster. Displaying in indirect sunlight is recommended for a longer-lasting colour.

The cleaning & polishing method is the same as above but with very minimal water, dry the piece imminently. Please avoid wetting or placing it in a location with a chance of high levels of humidity. These flowers & leaves are placed between two glass sheets, high moisture levels between the glass can cause mould.

I hope this helps you to enjoy my stained glass work for many years and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
